Heartland
After all, at the end of the day that's why we're all at iloveheartland - to think about and praise it's awesomeness!
-
Lauren brooke
Her books are amazing and I only wish she would write more more more! Who's with me?!

Pizza
The best food ever! But don't worry, I don't eat it all the time!

Heartland music
Jenn Grant and Nat Jay most definitely have earned their place on my ipod along with 'Life is Good' by Todd Hunter Band. Such feel-good songs!
I loved this game when i was little. It's really easy: someone thinks of an animal and everyone else has to guess what the animal is by asking questions such as colour, habitat, number of legs, ect...
Whoever finally gets the right animal can choose the next one. By the way, it doesn't have to be a mammal, it can be any creature other than a human really!
Ok, i'm thinking of an animal...

October 8, 2009 at 1:40 PM
Is it a wild animal? (Can we ask questions that need more than a yes/no answer?)
0
October 8, 2009 at 2:30 PM
can the animal ever have black hair?

0
October 9, 2009 at 8:24 AM
I'll answer the questions in order and no they don't have to be yes/no answer questions:
1) Yes it's wild
2) No black hair
3) It doesn't really have fur - more like a coat
4) Yes it's a mammal
5) Yes it has 4 legs

0
October 28, 2009 at 2:06 PM
@horsiefan01 - oh dear, we're guessing someone else's now...
What we'll do is we'll have both animals going at the same time. Just say at the beginning of your question whether it's for HORSIEFAN01 or BECKI7, ok? It could get a bit confusing but we'll give it a go...
0
October 29, 2009 at 3:25 AM
Well done playful dolphins! it was a horse, lol XD Your turn now pd :)
0
October 29, 2009 at 5:18 AM

0
October 30, 2009 at 12:53 PM

0
October 31, 2009 at 8:57 PM
Acorn yes it is a seal!!
0
November 1, 2009 at 2:15 AM
Ok, I won't take my go so that we can go back to one animal at a time (phew this is confusing!)
@playful dolphins / horsezrule - What country/s can you find it in?
0
November 2, 2009 at 1:07 AM
Austrailia
0
November 2, 2009 at 1:24 AM
Koala? Wallaby? Kangaroo?
0
November 2, 2009 at 7:39 AM
@horsezrule - thanks for stepping in for me!!
@3blindmice - you got it right; kangaroo!!
So, either you or Acorn to go - it was getting confusing with two on the go. So which of you is going to start the next one rolling?
0
November 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM
It's over to 3blindmice...
0
November 2, 2009 at 10:02 AM
Really? I got something right?! I NEVER get anything right! LOL okay......got one!

@Acorn - thanks. I'll tell her!
0
November 2, 2009 at 10:04 AM
Ok...hmm... What colour/s is it?
0
November 2, 2009 at 10:08 AM
:-) 3bm and I posted at the same time!!!
@3bm - that isn't technically true!
Which continent does it live in?
0
November 2, 2009 at 11:24 AM
@Acorn......black
@PD.....most continents
0
November 2, 2009 at 11:40 AM
is it a bear?
0
November 2, 2009 at 12:06 PM
how many legs does it have??
0
November 2, 2009 at 1:40 PM
Is it an insect?
0
November 3, 2009 at 8:44 AM
Or a bird?
0
November 3, 2009 at 8:51 AM
@3bm - We need you!! Get on here and answer some of our questions! Pleeeaaaaase!!!! :-)
0
November 3, 2009 at 8:56 AM
Oh sorry - I've been soooo busy recently!
@Gemma.....no, it isn't a bear
@bex.....2 legs
@playful dolphins....no, it's not an insect
@Acorn....no, it's not a bird
0
November 3, 2009 at 9:03 AM
Umm ... does it live on land or in the water? (bit of a silly question considering we already know it's got legs!)
0
November 3, 2009 at 1:18 PM
Human being?
0
November 4, 2009 at 8:43 AM
@playful dolphins - good guess! (a bit sneaky though!)
0
November 4, 2009 at 8:50 AM
@playful dolphins That is a good one! Now, what other two legged animals are there...?
0
November 4, 2009 at 9:00 AM
I was gonna say ostrich but we have been told that it's not a bird...
0
November 4, 2009 at 9:03 AM
@Acorn....land
@PD....nope!
Is this getting hard?
0
November 4, 2009 at 9:25 AM
@Acorn/Tanya - I know it was sneaky but what else could it be? Now I am stuck!!!
Monkeys/apes have two legs but do they live on most continents? I don't think so... I wonder if I should ask my hubbie for some help! Or would that be cheating?
0
November 4, 2009 at 11:23 AM
Well, my husband reckons it could be monkeys/apes - two legged and they do live on 4 out of 6 continents, so that would count as most? Kangaroos have two legs (sort of!) but we've just had them and they aren't on most continents. I am rambling away to myself here, aren't I! First sign of madness...
@3bm - yes, it is getting hard!!
0
November 4, 2009 at 3:15 PM
Any more questions?
0
November 4, 2009 at 11:53 PM
@3bm - so I am not correct that it's some sort of monkey/ape?
What colour is it?
How big is it?
0
November 5, 2009 at 10:28 AM
Does it have hair or fur?
0
November 5, 2009 at 12:27 PM
What does it eat?
0
November 5, 2009 at 1:59 PM
@PD....it is not a monkey or ape. It is black. It can be from as small as a bee to as big as an eagle.
@Tanya.....yes it had fur or hair.
@PD......depending on what type of this creature you have, it will eat anything from farm animals to insects to pollen.
Am I confusing anyone?
0
November 6, 2009 at 12:22 AM
Oh dear. Yes you are most definitely confusing me...
0
November 6, 2009 at 3:28 AM
I'll give a clue.....it flies.
0
November 6, 2009 at 7:27 AM
I wondered that!!! But not a bird! Or an insect!
A bat? (Inspiration hits me with a thunderbolt!)
0
November 6, 2009 at 8:07 AM
Yes a bat! ...they eat farm animals?!
I was thinking aeroplane - then i realised they don't have two legs and fur. (Yes, i am getting silly with my guesses)
0
November 6, 2009 at 8:12 AM
@Acorn - Don't be difficult! :-) I'd forgotten that one... Ho hum. Back to the drawing board! You're no more silly than I am... Mind you, some would say that doesn't mean a lot! And they'd call themselves my friends!
0
November 6, 2009 at 9:11 AM
It's a bat, well done! Apparently the largest breed of bat has a wingspan of 5ft and lives on the blood of farm animals. Wouldn't like one of them living near me!
PD....your turn now!
@Acorn.....nah, it's not an aeroplane ;)
0
November 6, 2009 at 9:45 AM
@3blindmice That was a hard one! Good guess playful dolphins!
0
November 6, 2009 at 11:03 AM
@Tanya....yeah, it did turn out that way. I thought it was going to be a very easy one!
0
November 6, 2009 at 11:06 AM
@3bm - I most certainly wouldn't want one that size living near me...
Wahoo! Jumps up and down in excitement! We did it!
So; I have an animal - start questioning!
0
November 6, 2009 at 11:13 AM
How many legs does it have?
0
November 7, 2009 at 12:47 AM
Two
0
November 7, 2009 at 10:33 AM
Is it a bird?
0
November 7, 2009 at 4:58 PM
is it bigger than a cat?
0
November 8, 2009 at 8:15 AM
Yes, it is a bird and it could be bigger than a cat!
0
November 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM
An eagle?
0
November 8, 2009 at 10:32 AM
A hawk?
0
November 9, 2009 at 1:05 AM
@Tanya - well done! You're on a roll here. It was an eagle. So, your turn now!
0
November 9, 2009 at 8:15 AM
Where are you, Tanya?
0
November 9, 2009 at 8:54 AM
Congrats Tanya! I should've known it was an eagle.....my Mum loves them!
0
November 9, 2009 at 10:13 AM
Wow, um.. Let me think. Got one!
0
November 9, 2009 at 12:34 PM
@3bm - I thought you'd been beaten by Tanya so had to say something different!
OK, Tanya. Is it a bird or an insect?
0
November 9, 2009 at 12:42 PM
@PD.....yeah I did realise that Tanya had got it right so just wanted to guess something else instead.
0
November 10, 2009 at 4:09 AM
Or a mammal?
0
November 10, 2009 at 12:24 PM
It's a bird.
0
November 10, 2009 at 2:28 PM
OK! Which continent?
Vulture?
0
November 11, 2009 at 10:18 AM
What colour is it usually? (if you say brown that will reeeally narrow it down ;))
0
November 11, 2009 at 12:29 PM
It's on Antarctica and it's black and white.
I think I may have given it away now...
0
November 11, 2009 at 12:37 PM
Penguin!
0
November 11, 2009 at 1:24 PM
Hmmm. Not sure there is anything left we can guess! Well done 3bm!
0
November 11, 2009 at 1:30 PM
Nicely done, 3blindmice! It was a difficult one... until those last couple of questions. Your turn!
0
November 12, 2009 at 7:58 AM
Thought of one yet, 3bm?
0
November 12, 2009 at 10:25 AM
I will give her a prod to get on here!! :-)
0
November 12, 2009 at 10:41 AM
OK. 3bm has thought of one, and will be on here again tomorrow morning (she's out at Guides now!) - so start guessing!!!
Is it a mammal?
0
November 12, 2009 at 2:48 PM
Is it a carnivore?
0
November 12, 2009 at 11:58 PM
I'm here!
Yup, it's a mammal.
Nope it's not a carnivore.
0
November 13, 2009 at 12:11 AM
Which continent can it be found on?
0
November 13, 2009 at 12:06 PM
Is it an omnivore?
0
November 14, 2009 at 7:12 AM
How many legs has it got?
0
November 14, 2009 at 7:15 AM
@PD....South America
@Tanya.....nope
@Acorn.....4
0
November 14, 2009 at 9:35 AM
So it's a herbivore?
What colour/s is it?
0
November 14, 2009 at 10:43 AM
can it be a pet
0
November 14, 2009 at 11:05 AM
A llama?
0
November 14, 2009 at 11:34 AM
A lemur?
0
November 15, 2009 at 8:21 AM
@PD....yeah, it's a llama! How did you know? Your turn now!
0
November 15, 2009 at 10:41 AM
Wow!!! Got it right. I just remembered llama's live in S America, particularly the Andes (I think!)
So, I've got an animal...
0
November 15, 2009 at 11:20 AM
Has it got 4 legs?
0
November 16, 2009 at 8:50 AM
Yes...
0
November 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM
Does it live in a warm climate?
0
November 16, 2009 at 12:18 PM
Possibly... possibly not!
0
November 16, 2009 at 12:46 PM
Hm...are you hiding something?...Does it have two humps?! ;)
0
November 16, 2009 at 1:22 PM
No... Don't mean to be difficult! ;-)
It lives in warm and cold climates. And doesn't have two humps (or even one!)
0
November 17, 2009 at 8:43 AM
Here's my favourite question! - what colour is it usually?
0
November 17, 2009 at 10:57 AM
Can I keep it as a pet?
0
November 17, 2009 at 11:47 AM
Could be brown, black, white, or any combination... and yes, you could keep it as a pet!!!
0
November 17, 2009 at 12:45 PM
do humans use it for anything??
0
November 17, 2009 at 1:25 PM
Depends! Not all...
0
November 18, 2009 at 11:51 AM
Is it a cat?

0
November 20, 2009 at 8:58 AM

0
November 20, 2009 at 9:04 AM
@3bm - yes i thought it was a bit unusual that she hasn't made an appearance for a while!
0
November 20, 2009 at 9:09 AM
@Acorn.....she's at a workshop to do with her business. She usually tells everyone when she's going away, but obviously she forgot this time. I'll remind her when she gets in tonight that she's wanted on here!
0
November 20, 2009 at 1:25 PM

0
November 22, 2009 at 10:27 AM
Not an alligator, but it is a reptile.
0
November 22, 2009 at 10:50 AM
I always get confused between reptiles and amphibians (sp?) so i think i'll let the rest of you figure this one out! ;)
0
November 22, 2009 at 12:22 PM
Lizard? Crocodile? Frog?

At this rate, we'll have so many questions for Tanya that once she's answered them it won't take much to work it out!:-)
0
March 22, 2010 at 8:46 AM
@pd - Lol! Yeah, better give Tanya a chance to give us a couple of answers...
0
March 22, 2010 at 9:39 AM

Have we given up on this one?
0
March 30, 2010 at 7:10 AM
@Playful dolphins - oh sorry! I meant to check up on this post but i forgot! Ok um questions...
what colour is it? how many legs has it got? (if it has legs of course!)
Is anyone finding this post takes too long to load? Is that putting anyone off bothering? Because if you would prefer i can open up a new post under the name The Animal Game 2 and we can continue from where this post ends. That might make things a bit quicker. What do you guys think?
0
April 1, 2010 at 1:54 PM
Um... where is everyone?
0
April 2, 2010 at 10:11 AM
Can I keep it as a pet?
0
April 2, 2010 at 11:08 AM
@Acorn I think it would be an idea to do another post and have it as The Animal Game 2. It does take a while to load.
Okay back to asking...
Does it like cold or warm weather?
0
April 3, 2010 at 12:54 PM
@Acorn - my turn to apologise! Been rather tied up with my mother-in-law staying for the last few days; she goes Tuesday so might have a long gap again!
I don't think you'd want it as a pet, and it likes warm weather!
0
April 6, 2010 at 3:37 AM
Hmmm... I guess everyone's had a good Easter and been very busy!!! :-)
0
April 7, 2010 at 12:46 PM
@pd - Ah i see. I know what you mean - this Easter has been very busy for me so far too! What about the colour and number of legs questions (6 posts above)?
As for making a new 'The Animal Game 2' post to speed things up, yes i think i will do that. Probably as soon as we've guessed this animal so we can start the post with the new animal.
0
April 8, 2010 at 8:34 AM
@Acorn - I am sorry. I didn't see those questions.
So, 4 legs, shades of brown fur - some may be spotted, some may be striped, some may be neither!
0
April 12, 2010 at 10:36 AM
@Acorn - I wonder if you should make a new thread, carrying forward where we've got to on mine? It make people more inclined to take part - it does take ages to load!
0
April 12, 2010 at 11:50 AM
Okie dokie, everybody (or not, as the case may be ;)), The Animal Game is now being continued as The Animal Game 2 where we will go on with playful dolphins' turn, so please do not comment here any more. Thanks :)
