i have a twin. lol you probably knew that.
but there are 9 children in my family. (Jonah, (my name)-Joy, (my twin sister's name)-Faith, Noah, Hannah-Grace, Jedidiah, Jerimiah, Anabella-Destiny, and Isabella-Hope) we also happen to be a loud, energetic bunch, which is to be expected i guess.

Betcha didn't know I once auditioned for Canadian Idol. Didn't make it to the 'celebrity judges' round, but I know I gave the non-celeb 'judges' the most perfect audition I could have given.

@TC....the written form. We don't learn to speak it! I did the week for myself 2 years ago, then I did the year course, so now I'm coming back to help! (My Mum runs it with one other person).

Betcha didn't know that I can write with both my left and right hands (great skill in university)!!! I'm ampidextrous...I throw with my left, eat with my right...it's also great playing baseball, it confuses the pitcher when I switch swings...LOL!

@Dalaigh..... that's cool! I would love to be ambidextrous! I do everything right-handed apart from eating - I have always ate left-handed for some strange reason! I guess it makes it easier if you hurt one hand, you can always write with the other...! :)

@3blindmice/iluheartland : I came into this world left handed...until I went to a catholic elementary school with nuns. They decided that the only way I could survive in the real world is to be right handed. So they would tie my left hand behind my back and I learned to do everything with my right hand, atleast until my Mom found out...the school shook the day she went in to straighten that out. Now I'm both right and left handed..it's cool! Like I said, especially in University, it came in quite handy.

@Dalaigh: Wow. I'm terribly right-hand dominant. Write, throw, kick (even though I'm not into sports).
But betcha didn't know I had a rather life-changing experience last year where my right hand was particularly useless, and my left hand took over, with an amazing level of competence - under the circumstances.

@Dalaigh....I bet that was useful. Almost the same happened to my Mum, she was left-handed in some things, but her parents made her do it right-handed so now she is just right-handed!

@3blindmice : yes...but we are an extremely close knit family, we watch each others backs, we defend each other, and no matter what we're together on everything (kinda strange sometimes), but I wouldn't have it any other way. Though having 3 older brothers can be a bit of pain...LOL!
Betcha didn't know that my favourite spot when no one is home is working in my herb garden.

@3blindmice... he had arthrutice ( thata not written correctly) in his legs and he was on medication for a year but then we started getting sik and he was vomiting everyday for 3 weeks, it was extreamely hard to put him down and is gonna be hard for a long time...

@horselover27.....you'd be better talking to my sis about this (horsezrule) cos it was her dog and I'm not too sure of what was wrong, but I know he definitely had arthritis in his back legs and some form of cancer. It must've been so tough!

@ rodeogal, so nice to see i'm not the only one with a crazy large family.
betcha didn't know that i don't really wear shoes, though the manager or the grocery store in town told me i had to for health reasons. but i don't even wear them in class at school. of at home, or walking down the street, my mom makes me wash then all the time when i come in the door.

I was in a subversive mood, you must understand, so I sang a verse (and-a-half) of a Joni Mitchell song called For Free. It's a song all about the fickle nature of the music business, and how unless you're a 'somebody', nobody is going to listen to you or pay you any mind, no matter how great your music is.
They knew he had never been on their TV
So they passed his music by
(The non-celebrity judges probably never heard that song, either.)

Good penmanship is so hard to find these days. Nobody seems to care anymore. Call me old-school, but I'd much prefer beautiful, cursive writing over a typed letter from someone any day.

@3blindmice : the birth of Canada is the celebration...it's a great day for all Canadians. Here in Ottawa, they shut down all the streets leading into the heart of the city. They set up stages everywhere and have music and dancing. On the central stage on Parliament hill they usually have the best acts. Then around 10:00 pm, it's fireworks time and I absolutely love the fireworks. Also, you can get beavertails...just thought I'd throw that one in...LOL!
Betcha didn't know..that i'm eating a piece of lemon meringue pie right now (shouldn't but wanted it, so i'll pay for it later)!

Betcha didn't know that when I was 6, I packed my bags and ran away from home because my parents insisted that eat all my vegetables on my plate. The escape lasted about 30 minutes...I realized that I missed them toooo much, turned around to go and my Mom was standing there smiling at me! (the weird thing is I love vegetables now!!)

@countrygurl twin/Tanya.....yeah I'm alright now, thanks. It's a bit difficult to explain, but basically the horse I was riding walked too close to the brambles and I got my head caught in a circle of them. Derek (the horse I was riding) absolutely hates being left behind, so he carried on walking trying to catch up with the horse in front. It's all a bit of a blur in my memory, but I think I somehow managed to get him to walk backwards and with the help of the person behind me, I managed to free myself. I now have loads of nasty red scratch marks on my neck, and on my hand as I was using my hand to pull them away - it could've been a LOT worse though! I'm very fortunate.....
Betcha didn't know that we're about to shoot a scene for the short that I'm directing. Not too many to go now....!

@playful dolphins - make sure you don't put the willow close to a foundation of any building...the roots on those trees are extremely strong and durable and can break through anything. Otherwise, enjoy the Willow..they're breathtaking beautiful trees.

@Dalaigh.....LOL! Pasta bake is basically pasta in tomato sauce and cheese baked in the oven. You can add whatever you like to it - in this one I had Sausages and then various veggies. It's absolutely delicious and very easy to make.
Betcha never knew that we're in the middle of watching a Michael Crawford in Concert video, but got interrupted by the phone. So now I've come on here while waiting for my Mum to get off the phone....I think it's going to be a long one so I may be here a while.....LOLOL!!

I had a really nice shot of some that we saw the other day that would have fit perfectly into the film we're doing, but I accidently deleted it along with some other footage! So annoying! What's the chances of them being there again the next time we shoot that scene? LOLOL

Just asked my Dad and he says it's The Poetical Works of John Milton edited by David Masson in 3 volumes and it is a first edition. All 3 volumes are worth about £50 in total.

@3blindmice - I don't know why that memory came back, it just did. When I have birthdays, I always spend a few days looking back at my life, my achievements, my disappointments, etc. I had a great time in High School and have made friendships that still exist today.

It's more of a writing challenge than a competition, but there's a lot of people who do it with you who you can talk to, so it's oddly social and fun. This will be my fifth year doing it, I think, and you are free to write any type of novel you want so long as it is a novel.

@Tanya.....I didn't get it at all, in fact. I decided it was too dark when I got up at 5, so I lay in bed staring out of my window for an hour waiting for it to get light. At 6am I decided it was light enough and then remembered I was being stupid and I needed snow for that shot so I couldn't do it yet! LOL I wasn't really thinking, was I!

Betcha never knew that I am about to sign off now and get some tea for the family. And that I made 40 plus cards this afternoon. Birthday, thinking of you, thank you etc. I haven't made any in well over a year so it feels really good. It was fun and I am very pleased with how they've turned out.

@Tanya - how's it going with the honey? I'd heard that taking local honey helps reduce the likelihood of hay fever as you build up resistance to local pollen. Are there other allergies it will help with?

@playful dolphins Apparently it's best to take it a while before the season so your body has lots of time to build up the immunities. I don't know yet how well it's going to work against hay fever, but I do know I have a bit of an energy boost since taking it.
Betcha didn't know I lost the first novel I ever wrote and finished to a computer crash a couple years ago.

@Tanya....I keep all my work and photos etc. on a separate hard drive that I can plug into any computer. As well as having double the memory, it protects your work from being lost in a crash. Very useful!

Betcha never that in England we call each individual Season a 'series' and I have no idea what we call the generic name for the whole thing is. I never knew that until earlier this year my friend was going on about Series 1 and Series 2! It soooo confuses me. I think you lot have a much better name for it ;)

@Tanya - I don't know. The initial contact I have says that having looked at it quickly it looks great, but she'll look at it more carefully next week then come back to me. I think it is supposed to go to a number of readers and they might take ages to come back with their comments. From my contact's comments I guess she might make some initial feedback which I might need to respond to and then it gets sent out to the others. But I am guessing!!! I will try and find out! But her initial comment was very encouraging.

@3blindmice: It was amazing. I was in Australia living with a family for a few weeks and they broke them in and I actually helped to break in a mare! It was great to go on rides in the afternoon, every day.... :)))
BTW, where have you been?
betcha didn't know that my parents 20th weddings anniversary was yesterday!

I've been at a Christian festival called Soul Survivor. I went with about 19 others from our church and had an amazing time!
Say congrats to your parents for me!!
Betcha never knew that I have eaten far too much unhealthy food in the last two days.

Betcha never knew that are house has scaffolding everywhere - we're re-thatching the roof! It looks like some sort of adventure play ground......
