Heartland

With numerous Mixed Media Magazines coming out in the summer, I Love Heartland has managed to score a number of interviews with different members of the cast and crew.  These digital zines are literally bursting with Heartland goodies!  So, as a sneak peek, here is our conversation with the wonderful Michelle Morgan.

ILH:    The break is over and the cameras are rolling once again.  How has Season 3 been so far?

MM:    I feel really lucky to be part of a cast that has worked together as long as we have.  Not a lot of actors get to do a three season run, and it's definitely been interesting and a learning experience.  The cast and crew have become so close that going to work is like going home.

ILH:    Wow.  I couldn’t imagine what that would be like.  The outdoor sets must really help with the onset atmosphere.  Do you have a favourite set?
   
MM:    I love the Dude ranch.  It's like Lou's own little world in the same way that the barn and the pen is Amy's world.  Plus the Dude ranch set is so beautiful and peaceful, the whole crew loves being there.

ILH:    Speaking of Lou, do you feel you two have a lot in common?

MM:    That's a tough question.  Lou is definitely more organized, more high-strung then I.  But obviously I have to put my own heart into the character or she wouldn't be real at all.  I like to think I’m more relaxed then Lou but my siblings could tell you how bossy I can be when I get stressed out.

ILH:    It’s no secret Lou has had some interesting men in her life.  What type of man do you feel she’s looking for?

MM:    [Lou] has a really strong work ethic and she's very motivated, so she needs a man that keeps up with her and challenges her.  But she's also worked hard all her life, and I suspect Lou wants someone who can help her relax and enjoy the little things sometimes.

ILH:    Do you believe Peter has those qualities?

MM:    Yes, I think Peter [does], and it scares Lou that she might have met the man of her dreams.

ILH:    Now, what about Scott?  He’s a fan favourite!  Do you think we’ll see him back in the mix?

MM:    I hope so because I love working with Nathaniel [Arcand]!  I think we're going to see some interesting romantic rivalry between these two, because lets face it, you never forget your first love.

Of course, there will be more interviews with the cast in crew in the weeks to come.  Who should you expect to be interviewed in the next digital zine?  You'll just have to wait and see...
